Dear Friends,

As the Carolina Headache Foundation approaches the end of our fiscal year, we want to shine a light on the progress your generosity has helped make possible.

While much of our work over the past six months has occurred behind the scenes, it has been a period of significant growth, planning, and momentum for the organization.

Simply put, we have been building.

  • Building relationships.

  • Building infrastructure.

  • Building partnerships.

  • Building educational opportunities.

And building a stronger foundation for the future of headache education and care in North Carolina.

Funding and Sustainability

This year, CHF secured nearly $200,000 in gifts and pledges through the generosity of donors who believe in our mission. Those contributions have strengthened our financial position, expanded our capacity, and allowed us to think strategically about the future rather than simply reacting to immediate needs.

This spring, we also submitted a major grant proposal to Pfizer in support of PRIME, our flagship educational initiative. While we await a funding decision, the planning process itself has helped strengthen our program design, evaluation strategy, budget planning, and long-term vision.

Expanding PRIME

PRIME continues to be a central focus for CHF because we believe it holds tremendous promise for improving headache care across North Carolina. Its innovative design, emphasis on hands-on learning, and adaptability to different educational settings position it for meaningful growth in the years ahead.

We continue building relationships with residency programs, faculty, advisors, and educational partners throughout North Carolina. Three PRIME programs are already scheduled for the coming year, with plans to expand to at least six educational offerings as funding allows.

We are also developing hybrid delivery capabilities that will allow us to reach clinicians in new ways while maintaining the interactive learning environment that makes PRIME successful. At the same time, we are investing in stronger evaluation methods to help us better understand our impact, measure outcomes, and ensure that PRIME continues to deliver meaningful results for clinicians and the patients they serve.

Building for the Future

One of the most exciting developments this year has been the growing ecosystem of people emerging to support CHF for long-term sustainability and statewide impact.

We are actively expanding our network of Board members, advisors, faculty, clinicians, researchers, staff, and community leaders who bring expertise in healthcare, education, nonprofit leadership, communications, fundraising, evaluation, and governance.

This evolution may not be visible from the outside, but it is essential to ensuring that our programs, partnerships, and educational efforts can continue to grow in a sustainable way.

Why This Matters

Migraine remains one of the most common and disabling neurological conditions worldwide.

Every patient deserves access to knowledgeable clinicians who understand headache disorders and can provide evidence-based care.

That is why education remains at the heart of everything we do.

Your support is helping us create the foundation needed to expand that education, strengthen our partnerships, and increase our impact across North Carolina.

Thank You

Organizations are shaped by the people who choose to believe in them early. Your partnership has helped provide the momentum, support, and encouragement needed to move this work forward.

Whether you contributed financially, participated in PRIME, volunteered your time, shared our mission with others, or simply followed our progress, thank you.

Because of your support, CHF enters the next fiscal year stronger, more connected, and better positioned to improve headache education across North Carolina. We are grateful to have you with us on this journey and look forward to sharing the next chapter with you.

With gratitude,

Holly Harding
